Training

We are developing our training activities;

  • We raise awareness about the impact of homophobia, transphobia, biphobia and heterosexism on people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or unsure of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity (LGBTQ)
  • We explore ways of making environments safe and supportive for LGBTQ people including thinking about how to challenge homophobic, transphobic, biphobic and heterosexist behaviour and language
  • Participants in our training value the resources, posters, leaflets and other key LGBT information, we provide.
  • We can tailor our training to your organisation and the needs of your users and staff.

Who we train

We have trained youth workers, advisors, support workers, managers, tutors and other adults working with young people.

Our Training

We have delivered training across Suffolk and have worked with Suffolk County Council Youth & Connexions service and voluntary sector providers.

LGBT Peer-Educators

As part of our lottery funded SEXPERTS project, we have trained a group of LGBT Youth Peer-Educators who co-facilitate training. This group of young people specialise in delivering workshops to people in the same age range as themselves in schools and colleges, they also assist us in delivering session with adults.

Fees

We operate a sliding scale and negotiate with you depending on the training required and organisation requesting.
